1 Days Climbing Session
Introduction
Communication & Trust are key attributes within all successful
teams. It is Communication & Trust which allow climbers to achieve a successful
and safe ascent and results in a partnership, a bond.
OnwardsUpwards offer a day of professional climbing instruction resulting in a shared experience helping to bond teams together.
Objectives
- To offer a shared experience away from the working environment
- To highlight attributes of a successful team. Encouragement, communication, trust, reward
- To offer an opportunity to build on interpersonal relationships
- To offer an inspiring outdoor experience
- To instruct participant in safe climbing techniques
Method
This day of activity will be broken down into 6 elements.
- Morning meeting. Tea & Coffee, to discuss the day’s objectives and what more can be gained by the day’s experience. To introduce participants to OnwardsUpwards staff and the environmental aspects and boundaries.
- Climbing Instruction. Teaching of equipment use and safe climbing practices.
- Close supervision climbing.
- Lunch, an opportunity to explore the surrounding environment.
- Open climbing; participants will be able to climb with a more relaxed supervision approach.
- End of day review to discuss our experiences. How can we take them with us and use them to improve the key attributes of teamwork?
This program can be delivered for 12 participants at approximately £650.
