Onwardsupwards Czech Climbing Holidays are coordinated and guided by two enthusiastic climbers, Klara Vlckova and Paul Robertson. In 2008, Klara organised a holiday for a group of friends to her stomping ground, Tisa, in the Czech Republic. The group included Paul, the Director of Onwardsupwards, and after such a fantastic experience they wanted to give others the opportunity to enjoy the climbing and culture and offer excellent value climbing holidays.
Klara Vlckova has been climbing on the Czech Sandstone for over 7 years. She's an excellent host and translator and nothing will be too much trouble for her.
Klara has a great temperament for climbing, and is qualified to instruct climbing in Czech. She has a great sense for other's abilities and aspirations, which allows her to make excellent route recommendations.
Paul Robertson started climbing whilst at school and has had a passion for the great outdoors and it's activities ever since. Qualified Sports Expedition Leader and Instructor of Southern Sandstone in the UK, he is a technical climber and enjoys encouraging others to climb, and climb safely.
Paul is able to introduce Czech Sandstone Techniques quickly and clearly whether you are a novice or experienced climber, helping you get the maximum out of your time.
